We begin with the question, what do intersections of black, brown, and green bring to the radical imagination as sustainable methods for ecological harmony, viability, and creative place-making?
We facilitate and partner on community programs in support of environmental issues, food justice, and food systems informed by ancestral, indigenous, and BIPOC-focused practices.
We present educator and student workshops, school site consultations, and write social justice/equity/inclusion-focused curricula for urban and rural-based community-building.
We love artists, healers, educators, and growers!
Our collaborations on creative place-making seek to strengthen and empower site-specific eco-art, media, and literary projects.
The JourneyWomxn Fund: Caregivers Program Retreats (CPR) is an outreach initiative that offers micro-grants to attend retreats in safe, rural settings without cost.
Our workshops introduce the plants and trees that flourish in Newark’s backyards, sidewalks, and parks. Through plantings, storytelling, and sustainable art methods, we learn why “Brick City” may not have as many leafy, green spaces as it once did and the need for replenishment.
